Gravely Model L moving our chicken coop
Переглядів 6927 років тому
This is a perfect example of how versatile these little tractors are. In this video I'm using the gravely tractor to move a chicken coop. I modified the coop with a makeshift hitch. There is a 2 inch ball on top of the mowing deck of my tractor. Works like a perfect tug!

Blizzard of 2015 - Homemade Gravely Drift Cutters!
I love those handlebar addon grips you have, very cool. I've been considering getting a sicklebar for my Gravely 546 but worry about the cutter teeth and the cutter bar. I have a Troy Built sickle bar mower I bought 20 years ago and the cutter teeth broke very easily, as did the bar they were attached to. After only one year cutting I went through so many teeth and two cutter bars I parked it in my barn and there it sits today. The cutter teeth were special made only for TB, so expensive and hard to find. And the simple steel bar they attach to, at the time 20 years ago cost $100 0_o and today, IF you can find them cost $300 0_o
It's 10 pm. Is there any way to get rid of the blight our green beans have? This makes 3 years in a row we have had the problem. It's on every row no matter if they are several feet apart. We planted blue lake, half runners and peanut beans. They all have it. Appreciate any advice you might have.
be sure to adjust the slip clutch as per manual. Too tight and you can break parts should you hit a branch.

The pigs nose curves up because of nazis
One of the finest machines ever built, Gravely.
Have you ever had a cam shaft go bad on one of those where it started making a knocking noise? I'm suspect of that on mine.
Guess you're not interested in the sand that fell into the gear box.!..
The drift cutters dont appear to do anything, the snow just drops onto the top of the bucket
We had one of these. We left the steel wheels on, from the rotary plow and that helped set the depth of the tiller. We also use to use the rotary plow to hill potatoes. You had to leave space between the rows a little wider to get the tractor down through the row. The rotary plow did a great job of throwing the dirt up around the potato plants.
Sweet!

Что означает буква Л? Какая это модификация? Какие её особенности? Спасибо.
Sir,If I use climbing cowpea as a intercrop in maize plant, what will be the distance between maize to maize and cowpea to cowpea plant (row and line)? Would you please suggest me?
My father had a Gravely with all the attachments. It was a high maintenance piece of equipment. I didn’t think much of it.
wow you're super handsome oh my God! must be nice to be blessed with such good looks
I just bought one of those today. I had a model L when I was a kid and it was a beast.
This makes me feel warm 🥰
I have 3 of these…. It really is a unique piece of equipment these days that not many companies make. I can use these without firing up the tractor for small under an hour jobs. It is basically a walk behind tractor
Dear Sir, very nice and informative video. Please give me advice as well. In hot summer days (100f), or 39C, can I intercrop "Cabbage" under the Shade of Corn Plants.
You certainly could try that. But remember that corn uses a lot of soil nutrients. So that might take away from the cabbage. But just try it!
@@tinsley207 thank you very much for kind advice.
Amazing video thank you !
What is spacing of this intercropping?
It was pretty close, I'd say about 4" spacing on the beans.
So cute ❤
How did you know they were male or female that young?
Can fertile eggs from a hen not yet broody be placed under a presently brooding hen successfully...
Certainly! Just be sure to keep track of it all or at least place them all under the broody hen at the same time.
I love those upright grips. Where can I purchase those or get the blue prints ? I would like to purchase 4 pairs. Thank you Curt
A friend made them. They are essential for tall guys and for pulling the tractor back out of trouble. ASK ME HOW I KNOW! I'll ask him if he's still doing them. If you frequent the gravely MYtractor forums he goes by "bookman".
They are malicious animals and cause havoc to agricultural lands.. Keep goats, sheep, or even cows instead of these harmful pigs.
How do pigs do this without getting dirt inside the nose
Cool
Very good content and nice to see thank for share+
Outstanding video, thanks for sharing!
Very nice. The open top over the auger works well with the drift cutters,
That's a lot of eggs!
What a great machine👌👌👌
Almost as good as my 1970 Wheel Horse !!
Credit to your friend
Always wondered how? Now I know. Thanks
Yeah, I didn’t know you could do that, but it makes sense.
That's awesome that you don't put hog rings on them. Living their best natural, and instinctive life before slaughter is the best way to go!
Nice hack!!

Long ducks 🦆
Fascinating!
I know this is a fairly old video but how well did that alfalfa cover crop work for your garden? I have wretched clay soil and am looking to alfalfa to seed this fall/winter to help amend it for next year. Do you cut it down and remove the top before tilling it in to prevent reseeding and making it easier to till?
Did you candle them when they arrived and did they have detached air cells
Yes I did. They were all pretty good!
You should let them hatch for another day with that many eggs, there might be a late bloomer, or I guess you could just light them. Also my hen took her chicks out the same day they hatched, although I had food and water in their cage, she started instantly teaching them to scratch and eat bugs. Of course she scratched and they ate. Lol
My BearCat 1028 will give that blower competition ua-cam.com/video/P_Oy-vvouBU/v-deo.html
How did she recover?
Why you don't have any bedding in duckhouse?
Impressive! Thanks!
